This collection grew out of the fascination with observing and recording diverse cultural experiences from the feminine, immigrant perspective of the artist. The individuals depicted here represent all of us: they are me, they are you, they are us. These are our stores.
Dream Scenes
A collection of ethereal mixed media landscape paintings featuring trees, lakes, mountains, and dwellings. This series takes deep dive into the tactile and psychological environments that shape us. Indicative of the artist’s own experiences of the artist, these slightly surreal scenes are portrayed as vignettes that blur the lines between dream and reality.
This series is largely comprised of collage elements blended into oil and acrylic on wood or canvas.
Stain Collage
This long-running series from 2015-2022 features detailed mixed media collage works on paper. Each piece begins with a tea, coffee, or ink stain and is imbued with meaning and story through additional collaged, drawn, and painted layers. Themes related to mythology, childhood, work, multi-culturalism, and feminism are present in these works. Each experience is a stain that makes us unique.
